On August 5, 2018, FaithBuilders and Doulos joined together to open up new opportunities for all ages to study, grow, and be shepherded under godly leadership centered around the Word. This group will be called Anchored, in reference to Hebrews 6:19—“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul…”—and we trust it will be another expression of God’s faithfulness to mature our church family. Jon currently serves as an elder at Grace Church in the Commissioned Fellowship Group. He is co-shepherd of the Moorpark Bible Study, involved in Men of the Word, and also teaches on biblical stewardship. After graduating from The Master’s Seminary with MDiv and ThM degrees, Jon was ordained by the elders of Grace in 2007 and served as a missionary to Samara, Russia, teaching systematic theology at Samara Center for Biblical Training, while also serving the local Russian churches through preaching and teaching. Upon returning from the field in 2013, Jon reentered the financial services industry as a Certified Financial Planner while also helping people to steward their financial resources in a biblical, God-honoring manner as a Certified Kingdom Advisor. Jon has been married to Natalie since 2000, and they have two sons, Josiah and Nathan.
