In the summer of 1968, a group of high school students from our church attended a summer camp and heard a twenty-eight-yearold guest speaker, John MacArthur, preach for the first time. When they returned home, they urged their parents to consider him as the next pastor. In God’s providence, that summer camp became the starting point of a long and faithful ministry at Grace Community Church.

Pastor John never lost sight of the spiritual value of this. That conviction helped cultivate a thriving camp ministry—one that eventually grew beyond in-state capacity and now welcomes over 1,500 students and staff each year. Its impact has extended beyond our own young people, as other churches increasingly look to this ministry to send and serve their students.

Each year, young people from around the country step away from the noise of everyday life to sit under the preaching of God’s Word, with many encountering the gospel in life-changing ways.

Again and again, we hear how the Lord uses that time to bring conviction of sin, open eyes to the glory of Christ, and draw students to Himself. On Sunday evenings, these stories regularly resurface in the waters of baptism—quiet but powerful reminders of God’s incessant work through camp.

We continue to invest in Camp Regen because we’ve seen how God uses it—to transform an entire generation for Christ.

We never want cost to stand in the way of a student attending. By God’s grace, and through your generosity, it rarely has. Thank you for helping make this possible. Your support is an investment in the next generation so that more young people might come to know Christ and follow Him faithfully.

Gratefully,
The Elders of Grace Community Church
