The more we understand biblical prophecy, the more we can grasp the entire scope of human history and how God has sovereignly unfolded His purposes and faithfully kept His promises. The bigger our view of God becomes, the more we can trust Him—no matter what happens today—and have hope in our future in eternity. When we view reality and history through the lens of God's revelation in His Word, our hearts can truly rest in Him and trust Him completely.
Christians are uniquely able to have this certain rest and hope since the Bible is the only book in the world that contains prophecy; no other book would dare include prophecy because no other book contains that which fulfills what Jesus said in John 14:29, “I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you will believe!”
At this year’s Women’s Fall Event, we will take a journey through some fascinating prophecies that have already been fulfilled regarding Israel, God’s chosen people. Through this, we will get a glimpse of God’s magnificence in how He has worked throughout history to fulfill His purposes. Then, we will see how certain trends in the last century are setting the stage for Jesus’ promised return.
As our Lord Jesus Himself has promised, things in this world aren’t going to get better. The Day of the Lord is fast approaching, and Scripture provides clear commands for believers as we wait for His return. Hebrews 10:22–25 instructs believers to encourage one another and spur one another on to love and good deeds. In 1 Thessalonians 3:12–13, God desires His people to deepen their love for one another. And first and foremost, in Matthew 22:37, God wants all believers to grow in our love for Him: “And He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’” All of this points to having hope in the One who is faithful to keep what He has promised.
When we see the bigger picture—how Scripture connects to Scripture, and how history, geography, archeology, astronomy, and even technology find their basis and purpose in Scripture—our hope and trust in the Lord become brighter, and our obedience and devotion become stronger.
This fall, for the first time at a Grace Church women’s event, we invite all women and women with their children (ages 5 to 15) to join us as we look at God’s big picture through His prophecies, purposes, and promises. Our prayer is that we would all grow in the hope of our faithful Lord.

Entre mejor entendamos las profecías bíblicas, mejor podremos captar el alcance completo de la historia humana y la manera en la que Dios soberanamente ha desarrollado Sus propósitos y fielmente ha cumplido sus promesas. Entre más grande sea nuestra visión de Dios, más podremos confiar en Él – sin importar lo que suceda hoy – y más esperanza tendremos para nuestro futuro en la eternidad. Cuando vemos la realidad y la historia a través del lente de la revelación de Dios en Su Palabra, nuestros corazones realmente pueden reposar en Él y confiar plenamente en Él.
Los cristianos son los únicos capaces de tener este reposo y esperanza segura ya que la Biblia es el único libro en el mundo que contiene profecías; ningún otro libro se atrevería a incluir profecías porque ningún otro libro contiene eso que cumple lo que Jesús dijo en Juan 14:29, Os lo he dicho antes que suceda, para que cuando suceda, creáis”.
Este año, en el evento de otoño para mujeres, vamos a embarcarnos en un fascinante recorrido por las profecías que ya han sido cumplidas con respecto a Israel, el pueblo escogido de Dios. A través de esto, podremos vislumbrar la grandeza de Dios en la manera en la que ha obrado a lo largo de la historia para cumplir Sus propósitos. Luego, veremos cómo ciertas tendencias en el último siglo están preparando el escenario para el regreso prometido de Jesús.
Como nuestro Señor Jesús mismo ha prometido, las cosas en este mundo no van a mejorar. El día del Señor se acerca rápidamente, y las Escrituras proporcionan mandatos claros para los creyentes mientras esperamos Su regreso. Hebreos 10:22-25 instruye a los creyentes a estimularnos a unos a otros al amor y a las buenas obras. En 1 Tesalonicenses 3:12-13, Dios quiere que su pueblo profundice su amor unos por otros. Y más importante aún, en Mateo 22:37, Dios quiere que todos los creyentes crezcamos en nuestro amor por Él: “Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con toda tu mente”. Todo esto apunta a tener esperanza en Aquel que es fiel para cumplir lo que ha prometido.
Cuando vemos el panorama general – la manera en la que las Escrituras se conectan entre sí, y cómo la historia, la geografía, la arqueología, la astronomía, e incluso la tecnología encuentran su base y propósito en las Escrituras – nuestra esperanza y confianza en el Señor se vuelven más resplandecientes, y nuestra obediencia y devoción se fortalecen.
Este otoño, por primera vez en un evento para mujeres de Grace Church, invitamos a todas las mujeres y a mujeres con sus hijas (edades de 5 a 15) a unirse a nosotras para contemplar el panorama de Dios a través de Sus profecías, propósitos y promesas. Nuestra oración es que todas crezcamos en la esperanza de nuestro fiel Señor.
