"The church is marked by its unity, shared life, commonality, and community—in a word: fellowship. Fellowship is critical to the life of the church. Christianity is not a spectator event that happens on Sunday. It is a common, shared life with other believers."
— John MacArthur
During the month of July, our regular Sunday morning Fellowship Groups go on hiatus. Designed to be a time of refreshment and fellowship with our Grace Church family as a whole, these Sundays give our congregation the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of teaching from our pastors and elders, professors at The Master’s University, and guest lecturers for the Doctor of Ministry Program at The Master’s Seminary. Our prayer is that you will be refreshed and renewed by these times of equipping.
Rich has served in Children’s Ministry since 1986. It is his joy to proclaim the gospel to kids and encourage parents to be faithful stewards of God’s gifts as they raise their children. He currently serves as an elder overseeing Children’s Ministry, and also teaches the Parenting for Life class at Grace Church. Rich and his wife, Karen, have three children.
Jon has been a lay elder with Student Ministries since 2004, where he supports the pastor and disciples staff and students. He is a medical doctor by profession and helps oversee and advise the church medical ministry. Jon is also active in the Elders’ Council Handling Outreach (ECHO), encouraging and supporting our missionaries. He and his wife, Cammy, have two grown children and one grandchild.
Brad Armstrong has been serving as an elder of Grace Community Church since 1995 and serves primarily in the Mainstream fellowship group. He also enjoys ministering to our missionaries by providing vision on the ECHO committee.
Matt was saved during high school. Since then, he’s had a passion for bringing the gospel to students in the context of youth ministry. Matt and his wife, Jenny, began attending Grace Community Church in 2003 and have served as volunteer staff in the youth department for most of that time. Matt currently serves as an elder in the High School ministry, and he also works full-time leading Human Resources at Liferay, a global software company. Matt and Jenny have three children.
